BMc TS19 Coal to Richmond
Fixed scenario (original with route is broken due to a stuck loco at Richmond locking points into yard). Load coal train at Parker, take it to Peabody and attach box cars, then head to Richmond to shunt off box cars.
60 minutes.
JR Coal Country: Coal Mine Loading
Not a bad scenario. 90 minutes of step by step shunting and running. Note that no junctions are set. You will have to check each route for each part of the scenario. Quite enjoyable (14/02/2022)
JR Coal Country: Tourist Trip
Quite good - but remember to make sure the tail end of your train is clear of the points at the Richmond wye stop, otherwise you won't be able to complete the second half of the scenario because you won't be able to couple to the other end of the train.
About 70 minutes (22/02/2022)
JR Log Service
Good scenario. Pick up logs in Parker and take to Peabody timber yard.
About 40 minutes.
JR Coal Service
Good scenario. Load coal train at Parker, take it to Peabody, return to Gilbert, load, then take combined train from Peabody to Richmond to unload.
1 hour 40 minutes.
C&O 2-6-6-6- H8 - New River Mining Coal Run
Take a loaded coal train from Pax to Thurman, run around your train and then drive all the way to Hinton.
- Quite enjoyable.
- Watch speed limits into each town - one is 15mph.
- This is like a career scenario with score deductions if you speed.
About 3 hours.
[DLS] Hinton Div. Session #1 Hinton Yard Work w/GP9s Ver. 3.0
Shunting and building a train in Hinton yard and Hilltop yard. This is hard:
- The session will start without a HUD. Press F5 a couple of times until it appears
- The session will be paused while the message pop-up is open. You can close that and use F1 later
- You need to create a driver and put him/her on loco number 6209
- The coupler breakage level is low. Do not couple at more than 2 mph.
- Stop before each couple up and save.
- Points in the yard are manual. Stop and check your route through point ladders and junctions.
This session will take over 2 hours and I found it best to do each sub-task and then save and come back to it later.
[DLS] C&o Hinton Div. Session #2 Avis Yard Work w/GP9s Ver. 3
Continuation of session #1 with more shunting at Avis yard and building your train.
- Same notes as per session #1 re HUD, message pop-ups and coupling speed.
- This session is quite enjoyable for a shunting one, but takes an hour longer than stated.
2.5 hours.
[DLS] Hinton Div. Session #3 Hinton to Thurmond w/GP9s Ver. 3.0
Final part of 3, take your train from Hinton to Thurmon. Pretty straight forward except for:
- Be aware going into cab view (key 1) mucks up train direction
- Stop before entering Thurmon yard to set points from main line to the correct siding.
1 hour 45 minutes.
[Purchase] Quinnimont Coal Drag - Don't do this session. It's broken. Do Bmc Quinnimont Coal Drag
~ * Don't rush the start. It mucks up AI routes. Let the first eastbound goods get past NM 3 before moving off stop 1 - it will run through the yard, then reverse back towards Prince, then move forward again. You won't be moving until 0621hrs.~
~ * Driver David (the same train that stuffs around at Quinnimont) might get stuck at Meadow Creek too. Delete driver commands and have him drive to Clifton Forge to release points at Meadow Creek for our train.~
~ * Interesting scenario with a very long train, some shunting and lots of AI.~
[Purchase] BMc Quinnimont Coal Drag
